Nether Edge Festival events to be held in St Andrew’s Psalter Lane Church

 

Sunday 12th September      

8.00 - 10.00 pm (doors 7.30 pm) Concert & Dance With Emily Bowden & Simon Dumpleton

Emily Bowden and Simon Dumpleton play self-penned compositions for listening and dancing and we’ll live-stream it too. Join us to listen or dance or both! Dancers and seated audience will always have a clear view of the stage.

Monday 13th September      

10.00 - 10.45 am & 11.30 am - 12.15 pm   Concerteenies Relaxation Concert

Bring your pre-crawling baby to enjoy some traditional folk tunes, songs and original compositions from violinist, singer and composer Emily Bowden (emilyandthesimons.com). There will be bubbles, props, percussion and a cuppa – perfect for relaxation and bonding with your littles ones.

7.30 pm     Sounds of the Spirit

Presentations of beautiful chanting and recitation from different faith traditions, arranged by the Shirley House Interfaith Centre as part of the Nether Edge Festival.

Mishra’s weave of intricate, Indian-influenced global folk music has gained several awards since their formation in 2017. Talking Gigs is a live event mixing musical performance with insightful conversations.

Friday 17th September      

7.30 - 9.00 pm       Kaoru Bingham Piano Recital

An evening of classical music performed by Sheffield-based concert pianist Kaoru Bingham. With a theme of ‘poetry and song’, the recital will feature work by Bach and Chopin as well as transcriptions by Liszt of songs by Schubert and Chopin.

Tickets: Capacity is likely to be limited so tickets must be purchased in advance.

Inspirational pianist Annabelle Lawson (annabellelawson.com) performs music by Chopin, Mozart and Schumann for 0-7 year olds and their grown-ups. There will be bubbles, props, percussion and a cuppa – a perfect opportunity to experience quality live music as a family.
