Ecclesall Deanery Report 2023
There have been some changes in the deanery this year with the departure of Ann Brown as deanery secretary who has not yet been replaced.
At the deanery meeting in June 2022 there was much discussion about the number of vacancies, both clergy and lay, within the diocese and strategies to improve this situation.
There was a joint Ecclesall and Attercliffe Deanery Meeting in early November 2022 at the Cathedral. This was to discuss priorities within the deanery and was well attended by members of SAPLC. This was followed by a deanery celebration at the end of November, which I was unable to attend. It would be really helpful to have a second deanery rep to ensure that we can always be represented.
There is a planned day-long Bishop’s visitation in November with Bishop Sophie.
