Financial Review
In the year ended 31 August 2021 SAPLC received income of £166,707 and
payments were £143,194, resulting in a surplus for the year of £23,513.
Our membership contributed 65% of our income and church property contributed
27%.
We maintained payments to the Methodist Circuit and Anglican Diocese at the
same level as that of the previous year.
For a number of reasons we were unable to fully undertake the programme of
repairs and maintenance outlined in the Quinquennial report. Encouragingly, we are
now achieving steady progress in completing the essential works.
At the 31 August 2021 our unrestricted reserves were £88,500, which we consider
to be sufficient to enable us to undertake essential repairs and complete
outstanding projects.
